What is Del Namak (white salt ):

 Del Namak (white rock salt), which is also known as halite, sandha salt and natural sodium chloride, is a type of white salt which is formed from the evaporation of sea water or lakes. It is mostly colorless or white, but depending on the impurities, it may be light blue, dark blue, purple, pink, red, orange, yellow or gray. The heart salt contains high amounts of minerals such as manganese, copper, iron and zinc, which are used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine to treat colds and coughs, improve digestion and strengthen vision. In the past, heart salt was used a lot and its healing properties not only included the soul and spirit treatment, but its oral consumption caused many diseases to go away from the body. It is similar to normal salt, but unlike normal salt, it does not increase blood pressure and contains substances that are useful for the body.
